The entrance to our school campus is the first impression for all who pass by—a reflection of the vibrant learning and growth taking place within. The Eagle Excellence Plan will revitalize this important space, and we invite you to be a part of this meaningful transformation.
The Eagle Excellence Plan begins with an upgrade to our entranceway, signage, chapel lighting, expands into the classrooms, and ties all aspects of life on this bustling campus together.
Your generosity will help create an entrance that mirrors the excellence happening inside our classrooms. In recognition of your support, each donor will be honored on a dedicated donor wall located in our School Mall. The inscription of either the donor’s name or the name of the individual in whose honor the gift is made will become a part of Holy Savior Menard’s history and legacy.
Your gift will not only beautify our campus but also serve as a lasting tribute to your commitment to our mission. Thank you for considering this special opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Since its origins in 1892, Holy Savior Menard has served as the flagship educational school of Central Louisiana. Through its evolution from St. Francis Xavier Commerical College to Menard Memorial and the addition of Providence Central, Holy Savior Menard has been a cornerstone of the Alexandria community. For over a century, we have fostered the minds of future leaders, shaping the path for generations of students who have gone on to succeed in every field imaginable. As we move forward, it is vital that we honor the rich history of our school while ensuring it remains a space that reflects the highest standards of learning and achievement.
Our dedicated faculty, with over 690 years of combined experience, are committed to providing an unparalleled education in CENLA. Our students consistently achieve the highest ACT scores in Rapides Parish, and 98% of our graduates go on to attend college, continuing their journey to success. These statistics are a testament to the dedication of our teachers and the hard work of our students, and we know that the environment in which they learn plays a critical role in their growth.
Let’s continue to make the future bright—for our students, our community, and our legacy.
In the Fall of 2024, an alumnus of Menard Memorial connected with HSM through our Distinguished Alumni Program. As the relationship between the alumnus and the school grew, the Class of ‘59 graduate visited campus, spoke with our students, and spent time touring the grounds. He expressed great pride in his time at Menard Memorial and credited his education to later successes in his life. To show his appreciation for the gifts of his education, he has made a generous donation toward the upgrade of the school’s entranceway and landscaping. The project has taken flight and we are excited to share the Eagle Excellence Master Plan with our community. The project spans multiple years, past the vision of the original donor’s generous donation, to touch all aspects of life here at HSM. The Eagle Excellence Plan begins with an upgrade to our entranceway and parking lot, signage, chapel lighting, expands into the classrooms, and integrates all dimensions of life across this dynamic campus. Thank you, Mr. Harry Longwell, Class of 1959, for inspiring this Master Plan and for your generous donation to launch the project. Mr. Longwell and his wife, Norma, have dedicated the Eagle Excellence project to the Class of '59.
Over the past year, we have spent time planning and drafting. With the help of Mr. Jeff Carbo, landscape architect, we have created a plan of action and are ready to set flight. Be a part of this exciting transformation!
