Happening Now
Installation of the backlit HSM crest on the exterior of the gym will be completed within the next few weeks. Once installed, the sign will be easily visible at night from Highway 28.
Lighting will soon be installed in the four obelisks at the campus entrances. Each obelisk will be built on a brick foundation featuring the HSM crest.
Now that a full year has passed since the trees were planted, a few that did not survive will be replaced.
The old concrete in the chapel courtyard has been removed, and electrical wiring is being moved underground in preparation for the next phase of improvements.
Coming in the Months Ahead
New concrete throughout the chapel courtyard
A covered walkway leading to the chapel to help keep visitors dry on rainy days
New trees and landscaping
A donor wall recognizing those who have supported these improvements
A statue of Christ Victorious
Installation of flags in the chapel area
New outdoor seating
We are excited to see these improvements continue to take shape and are grateful for everyone who has helped make this vision for our campus possible.

Happening Now:
Significant progress continues across campus as part of the Eagle Excellence Plan. Steel landscape edging and fresh pine straw bedding have been installed around newly planted trees, enhancing the overall appearance and structure of our green spaces. Along the full length of the parking lot, Nelly Stevens Hollies—set in newly added large gravel—now create a more defined and attractive perimeter. To accommodate this upgrade, the existing fence near the chapel has been successfully relocated.
Campuswide improvements also include the planting of Cypress Trees in the parking lot islands at the front of the school, paired with Carissa Hollies for a clean, cohesive landscape design. Drainage issues in the student parking lot have been resolved, improving safety and functionality in that area.
We have addressed the ditch and drainage across the campus by replacing aging culverts, allowing water to flow properly instead of stagnating. These efforts mark a major step forward in long-term campus maintenance and water management.
Continued thanks to Todd Urbina and Progressive Construction for their partnership in these improvements, as well as Jeff and Wendy Carbo GoodWorks for their dedication, expertise, and passion to the project. Thank you to Brad Buller for his efficiency and great work on relocating the fence. Thank you to BOLD Landscaping for the attention to detail as we progress daily on our project! And to the many folks who have supported thus far with their time, talent, and treasure.
In the coming months:
More enhancements are on the way as we continue investing in the future of our school community. Let’s go Eagles!

Happening Now:
Our Eagle Excellence Project has taken flight! Thanks to our donor-driven project, we are hard at work making enhancements to the front of the school. The entrance to the school is beginning to mirror the excellence that is happening inside the classroom learning environment!
With a goal of improving the aesthetic of the campus, we are happy to announce that both Magnolia Trees and Live Oaks have been planted in the front and sides of the campus. The existing Live Oak Trees have been pruned. We are addressing the drainage issues near the student parking lot with new culverts, as well as levelling and backfilling the ditch. The front flagpole has been taken down and will be relocated, and edging will be placed around the newly planted trees.
Coming Soon:
In coming months, look for chapel lighting, new backlit signage on the gym, entrance gateway monuments, and hedges across the front of the school parking lot.
