The Menard OutReach Experience (MORE) Project allows student to participate in a form of service needed within the local community. Holy Savior Menard, in its Catholic tradition, seeks to allow its students to better understand the mission of Jesus Christ. In reaching out, the student not only sees the value of his/her service to the community but is also able to grow spiritually by reflecting on serving as Christ served.
Every junior high and high school student is required to participate in the MORE Project through his/her religion class by completing service hours each semester. For junior high students, 6 hours are required each semester (12 per year); for high school students, 8 hours are required each semester (16 per year). Beginning the 2010 - 2011 school year, hours dedicated over the summer months will only count toward fulfilling the fall semester requirement.
