FCA had its
first meeting of the 2009-2010 school year on August 19,
and we are
off to a great start with 95 members!
Things
to Think About This Week
"Go the
distance and beyond." (Ask God to help you go the extra distance, and take
advantage of small opportunities to help a friend, teammate, or classmate.)
"Show
Christ not only through your actions but also through your love." (Try to
help someone you would not ordinarily talk to.)
"Leadership: Utter and Complete Selflessness". (We should have this
mentality; it will strengthen ourselves.)

What to expect this Year
In addition to our regular meetings,
this year we would also like to meet after school sporting events. We are
looking to have a meeting after one of our home football games (we will let
you know once the date is set) and after basketball games. We would also
like to have a bonfire and maybe even a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
We will attend the FCA Luncheon at
Prather Coliseum in Natchitoches (date and time TBA; students responsible
for cost of lunch plus $1 bus fare).

- October 14 (Bring t-shirt money!)
T-Shirts
- This year's FCA t-shirts will be teal blue, and students will be able to
choose either long or short sleeve. T-shirts will be worn to the FCA
Luncheon at NSU.
