Helping Hands is an organization dedicated to pairing mentally challenged teenagers in one-on-one friendships with Menard students.

The members of Helping Hands visit the residents of the Louisiana Special Education Center monthly.

Members are required to attend meetings before school twice a month.

The Board Members (president, vice-president, secretary/ treasurer) help the Special Education Center plan holiday festivals such as Halloween carnivals, Christmas parties, and Mardi Gras parades.
