Study after study document both the effectiveness and quality of America’s Catholic schools. Not only are graduates well prepared for further education and careers, but they are more likely, as adults, to be active leaders in their churches and communities.

“Values” has recently become a fashionable buzzword in general education. Moral values have never been a passing fashion, but rather the very essence, meaning and reason for the existence of Catholic schools.

A Catholic education must also be a quality education. Quality teachers, programs, facilities, materials, textbooks, technology and supplies all require substantial resources.
Catholic schools have also undergone major changes from predominantly “religious” faculties to “lay” teaching staffs.
Retaining quality teachers is essential for Catholic education to be successful. Catholic schools must be able to retain their talented teachers by providing just and reasonable salaries. The Annual Giving Fund is an effective way to help retain our faculty members.

Holy Savior Menard Central High School provides its alumni, parents, and friends a variety of opportunities to make tax-deductible contributions that improve the quality of education for its students and provide financial security for the future of the school. Below is a full list of all Giving opportunities at Holy Savior Menard Central High School.
Types of Donations and Giving Programs
ANNUAL GIVING PROGRAM
Donations from alumni, parents, and friends of Menard provide funding for academic scholarships and operations. These donations also help keep tuition affordable for all families.
MENARD ENDOWMENT FUND
Gifts from securities, life insurance policies, wills and other sources are permanently invested with the earnings from these funds providing a perpetual source of income for professional development, enrichment opportunities, and operations.
EAGLE WALL BRICK
Engraved bricks on the front wall of the school may be purchased for $100, $1000 or $2500. These donations are used for special projects particularly improvements to the physical plant.
ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
Donations of $15,000 or more may be used to establish scholarships in memory of a loved one or family. These funds are permanently invested, thus establishing perpetual funding for the scholarships.
MEMORIAL GIFTS PROGRAM
Donations in memory of loved ones and friends are placed in the Menard Endowment Fund. Thank you cards are sent to the donors and acknowledgement cards are sent to the bereaved family.
MATCHING GIFTS PROGRAM
Employees of corporations with matching gifts programs may double or triple their donations to the school. Check with your employer for details about institutions that qualify for these funds.
PLANNED GIVING PROGRAM
The Menard Planned Giving program allows benefactors to make gifts which they plan now but which Menard does not receive until later. Examples include naming Menard in your will, as a beneficiary of part of your life insurance policy or retirement plans, real estate, establishing a charitable remainder trust, charitable lead trust, or grantor retained annuity trust. You should consult your insurance agent to determine the tax advantages of these options.
DESIGNATED GIVING
If you wish to make a gift to a special project or need of the school, you may select one of these or you may select other and indicate your preference.
