Practice Schedule
Quiz Bowl meets for
practice every Tuesday and Friday at 7:00am in Rm.409 (Mrs. Harmeyer's
room).
"Split-thePot"
Quiz Bowl sells
"Split-the-Pot" tickets at home football games. Tickets go on sale at 6:00pm
(one hour before kickoff).

Brains" Quiz Bowl Invitational Tournament: McNeese University / Lake
Charles, LA
Congratulations to the Menard Quiz Bowl team for taking Second Place at the
Tal Atkins Memorial Quiz Bowl Tournament in Shreveport on 11/14, competing
against leading teams from across North and Central Louisiana.
The
Menard Gold Team of Emilie Harmeyer, Paige Ferrant, Samantha Lessen and
Chance Ortego went undefeated through seven games to reach the championship
match, where they finally fell to River Oaks of Monroe. The Gold Team
nearly doubled the scoring of their opponents throughout the day, led by
captain Emilie Harmeyer with 30 correct tossups and Paige Ferrant with 18.
The Gold Team has now won 14 of its 16 games this season as it tries to
defend its state championship.
The Green
Team of Mark Bandy, Emily Branan, Danyelle Coco, Andrew Lemoine, Elizabeth
Mages and Cody Roland had 4 wins and 2 losses Saturday to reach the round of
8. Mark Bandy led the Green Team with 11 correct tossups, while Emily
Branan and Andrew Lemoine each contributed 8.
